Books for Writers

I began my writing career writing short stories for the women’s magazine market. It’s a wonderful training ground for writers and I learned so much along the way.

Some of what I learned, and some of my published stories from this era can be found in my two ‘How To’ books.

At this time I was in a full time job with teenage children at home and a disabled mother who needed a lot of support. Looking back I have no idea how I found time to write, but somehow I did, and my tips for time management can be found in ‘Give Up Ironing: a Writer’s Guide to Time Management’.
